Hayley orrantia was born in the US. She is primarily an actor, however she is also a songwriter and singer. People are most familiar with her as Erica Goldberg in the comedy TV series 'The Goldbergs'. Her primary focus is as the performer. Music is the first passion she claims; it's something she's dabbled into when she was just 9 years old. At the age of 12, her music began to take more serious form and she started training professionally. In the age of 13, she began writing songs. She recorded her debut album in the age of 14. Since then, she has not stopped since then. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic roots. Though she grew up speaking solely English and has never lived in Mexico she's very proud of her Hispanic culture. To keep her heritage alive she's learning Spanish. Also, she writes songs based on the Spanish language. 'Hasta Verte' a song she composed in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia was selected to audition for The X Factor's first season during the summer of 2011. Her YouTube video was picked and she got four "yeses" (or votes) for the judges during the Seattle audition. Her initial audition was for solo performance, but in "Hollywood Week" she was paired along with three female vocalists to form a trio during the remaining auditions. Live shows were staged during the week of 5th.
