Ina Garten is an acclaimed American writer of cook books over the seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina started writing policy and nuclear energy documents to the White House. While she initially found the work fascinating, eventually she stopped her interest. Then she bought an Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food store. After selling the store the store, she worked for 18 years building it into a highly successful store. Then, a number of books were released and she also contributed to magazine articles. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too began its run and was a hit. She sells many products, from ingredients for cooking to kitchenware and storage. Ina is not a student at any cookery school or employed in a restaurant, and she is completely self-taught. She is well-known for her effortless approach to entertainment and simple cooking.
